Vintage Steel Chairs (set of 2)
Vintage Steel Chairs (set of 2)Chairs found in a thrift shop in Waseca, MN, fabric found in a thrift store, spray paint, and batting also found in a thrift store. Steel carefully cleaned and painted and seat thoughtfully sewn and recovered.  These currently reside on my porch, but I'd be happy to part with them!
Antique Rolling Rocker Chair Refurb
Antique Rolling Rocker Chair RefurbChair was found on Craig's List in the Free section, the needle-pointed seat was found at a local thrift store, as were the furniture tacks used.  Both are antiques. There is also a chunk of scrap wood for the seat that my father helped me cut to fit.  When I found the chair the wicker seat was unsalvageable, so I removed it and hand upholstered a replacement with care and love. This currently resides on my porch, but I'd be happy to part with it!

Painted Vintage Cosco Stool
Painted Vintage Cosco Stool Cosco stool found on Craig's List for a small sum, acrylic paint I've had since high school, and some Polycrylic to protect. A friend and I were spending time at my house one evening and he mentioned that my place was so cozy and I am so short and solid, that I reminded him of a hobbit.  This conversation ended up in the kitchen since I was cooking some dinner.  He was smoking a pipe, and we were chatting about Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit, and "Tolkein in the kitchen" was born.  I held onto the phrase and one day it occurred to me that this stool would be the perfect canvas.  I chose the frame of Bilbo on top of the trees of Mirkwood because I remember that scene so well from watching the cartoon over and over as a kid, and it always made me oddly emotional. I removed the back rest and drew the scene on there by hand, then painted it all by hand and covered it with a clear coat to protect the paint. This piece is not for sale, I love it too much!
Rusty '80s to Painted Side Table Refurb
Rusty '80s to Painted Side Table Refurb Found this stool in a dumpster and saw potential.  Some would say it looks nice at a rusty, brass, '80s vanity stool, but I thought it was pretty ugly and someone else did too or it wouldn't have been in the trash.  Paint was purchased on Craig's List and the Frog Tape used for the design was found in a thrift store. I removed the padded, white pleather top, sanded the particle board beneath it as much as possible, spray painted the legs, and then taped and painted the top.  Not my best work, but I use it in my living room.  I am happy to part with this piece if anyone is interested!
